At startseeingblackdogs.com we are devoted to increasing black dog adoptions because black dogs, particularly mixed breed dogs of no specific origin, don’t have many advocates. Many breeds have devoted rescue networks to help them get out of high kill shelter environments. Black dogs don’t. There is nothing to unite them as a group, other than their status as some of the most overlooked of all shelter dogs. Because of this, they are the focus of our website. They are also our passion.
That said, why can’t ANY group utilize the free resources on our website to help increase adoptions of non-black dogs? Why couldn’t an Australian Cattle Dog group use these principles with success? Or a Great Dane Rescue? Pit Bulls? What about black cats? Ferrets? House rabbits?
Although we started startseeingblackdogs.com to help some of the ultimate shelter underdogs we are dedicated to seeing that all shelter pets find a home. We believe that the free information startseeingblackdogs.com provides is a useful resource in making this happen.
