The forecast for Saturday is party cloudy, 79 degrees, and raining Black Dogs! Well, it could be - bring your beautiful black dog(s) and let's walk Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis. Sugar has her walking paws all ready to go and is ready to meet some of her black dog kindred. I can't think of anything better on a Saturday morning than being surrounded by a bunch of gorgeous, shiny black dogs that are chomping at the bit for a good walk! So break out those doggie bandanas, dust off your Keds and meet us at the Lake Calhoun Pavilion at 10:00 a.m.. We'll see you there. I'll be the one Sugar decided to bring along. :)

We've had a ball this past month meeting many fantastic black dogs as part of our website photo shoot. Thanks to Marilou Chanrasmi, President of Pet Haven Rescue who helped us broadcast our "black dog casting call." We've had an amazing parade of gorgeous, unique black dogs coming out of the woodwork to pose for the website photos. Our Official Black Dog Photographer, Jennifer VanKempen has proven herself to be an expert dog wrangler, another one of her many talents. To their credit, all of the black dog models have checked their super model attitudes at the door - we've had no diva hissy fits. Maybe they know their efforts will help their fellow black dogs still searching for their forever homes? Stay tuned as we roll out the photos, the stories and some ideas to help you promote these wonderful black dogs.
